Hash Error on Download

Here's a handy tip from Function over on CR:

Function writes:
If you are getting file hash error when installing the firefox addon, you need to enable third party cookies for installation to succeed. Preferences > Privacy > Allow third party cookies.

You can disable them again after installation. I would suggest disabling them unless you have a very good reason not to.

A few off-topic suggestions

- highlight posts referencing you/your posts (or including one of multiple abbreviations)

- automatically jump to last post read, or insert a red line between old/new posts upon refresh/posting

- this one is the least important. ability to filter for posts containing one of multiple words/phrases (eg Boolean search)

I wouldn't bother too much about a community driven rating of posts, there will always be multiple subsets/flavours and you cannot simply satisfy the 'majority'

Thanks for those, anonymous.

I'll add them to the wish list.

Ken -

How about a post for enhancement suggestions? I have one already - "Day" and "Night" settings!

hey ken-

nice job, thanks for taking the time to do this.

as an FYI, i am having issues on Firefox 3.0.4 running on OSX Tiger (latest completely updated version).

...and yes, i have restarted Firefox after installing your add-on (twice as a matter of fact)

mortgage pig works for new posts, but the "authors" window never loads (just says Loading...) and there are no links to rate the authors either.

worth noting i also have greasemonkey with a killfile running....might that be the problem?

ahhhhhhhhhhh...

when i disabled the greasemonkey killfile, it works like a champ - i should have tried that before bugging you.

i am as bad as the users that i make fun of every day. i stand ashamed and humbled.

Is this only for Firefox, any extensions for IE?

Schnaps: good idea for a thread, and multiple settings profiles.

nullpointer: I make those kind of mistakes all the time (and share the hypocrisy). But it's definitely useful to know that greasemonkey will interfere with CR Companion.

Comrade V.: sorry, yes, Firefox only.
