This version fixes several annoying bugs in the editor. My apologies for not seeing them - I haven't been posting enough to notice.
- switching to another non-haloscan tabbed browser caused the editor to freeze.
- Paste from other sources lost newlines.
- Entering a url that had a space at the beginning caused unexpected results (we now trim it).
- Urls that had embedded ampersands were converted to & entities, which haloscan choked on.

campbeln,
That's very surprising. I'll see about reproducing it when haloscan comes back up.
CRC keeps a single list of author ratings loaded per window (not per tab), and refreshes the query for a particular document when you switch between tabs. So this is odd behavior...
*ugh*
Already missing CRC, Ken, now that CR is using JS-Kit.
I'm dying here! Let me know what I can do to help get CR comments readable (and enjoyable!) again!
Hoping for the JS-KIT upgrade!
All the best to you Ken!

Ken,
I am obviously missing your excellent tool quite a bit.
I was wondering if adapting Companion wouldn't be that hard if you used the RSS/Atom feed. I have no doubt that there are feed parsers for your development environment that would keep the effort down a bit.
Thanks for all your work.
Ken,
I've been playing around with the comments.js API provided by JS-Kit, and I was wondering on what kind of future you are seeing with CRC.
I would imagine that aside changing the document retrieval from their website and parsing out the data that it would be rather easy to recreate the Haloscan functionality.
Yes/No/I'm Crazy?
Brian (via CRBot) has used the JS-Kit API to retrieve the data and format it in the old Haloscan layout. For the time being, is there a way to modify CRC to use CRBot's output to allow it to at least refresh and use the name list/filter?
e.g.

Oops, sorry, I've been distracted and haven't been reading these comments.
