Thanks for the update Ken. When I bring the tools up, the only way to close them is with splat-W on the Mac. Not sure if the dialog comes up in the wrong place and not showing a close button, or it's just missing one.
How about a tip jar on the CR Companion page? Those of us (well, at least this born and bred dope) who suffer Jas no more are willing to share.
MLM
That's very kind, MLM. I'll see what's involved.
Thanks for the heads up on the mac version. I've just reproduced it. Appears to be a firefox bug. I'll see about fixing it.
How can I view the "source code"?
Thanks
The easiest way to view the source is from the Mozilla web site:
1) Go to the CR Companion download page, and scroll to the bottom.
2) Click on the View Source button
3) Click on Expand all in the box to the right.
4) Look around. Most relevant files are croverlay.js and croverlay.xul.

yagij, are you having problems with CR Companion posting?

Sure, no problem.
Example 1: Trying to paste the following URL into a CR Companion comment caused it to stop after the semi-colon ';' Dunno if it is Holo-scan or CR C(Maybe Holo-scan):
http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=^TNX#chart1:symbol=^tnx;range=1y;compare=^tyx+^gspc;indicator=volume;charttype=line;crosshair=on;ohlcvalues=0;logscale=on;source=undefined
Example 2: I have a problem when using the CR C's editor when I click back and forth between tabs. The context pop-up will copy/paste text, but it will not receive any input from the keyboard. Also, there is no cursor.
BTW, CR companion works under Linux
(Ubuntu 8.10)
:)
yagij, thanks.
The first problem is haloscan. CR Companion can help with this, by using a real anchor tag for the link. Just select some text in the CR Companion editor, click the hyperlink button from the toolbar (next to the italics button), and paste in your url.
The second problem is CR Companion. I'll investigate.
Thanks for the report!
Anonymous, very glad to hear it! I'm about to set up an Ubuntu box of my own.
yagij, oops, spoke too soon. Missed the intent of the URL. The first problem appears to be CRC. I'll investigate.
yagij, found the problem. Haloscan has trouble with semicolons embedded in the href of an anchor tag. I have a workaround, and will include it in the next update.
